Children without guardian
Patients aged from 3 to 15 years, covered by a health insurance company operating in the Czech Republic, are accepted upon completion of an application form made by a paediatrist or other specialist. The form must be signed by a revisory doctor of the given health insurance company, and is valid for a period of 6 months. The treatment period differs according to the age of the child. Children of school age usually undergo a 5-week treatment, pre-school children undergo a 6-7-week treatment. The treatment length is decided by the director of the sanatorium according to the patients’ state of health and diagnoses. The treatment is fully covered by the health insurance.
Medical and tutorial staff, look after children 24 hours a day, with a dietrition on hand to fulfil all possible diet needs.
Pre-school children attend “Kinder garden by Medical Institution for Children with Respiratory Diseases” and children of school age attend “Primary School by Medical Institution for Children with Respiratory Diseases”, where the class work is reduced (more).
Treatments (except speleotherapy), class work, accommodation and boarding are all provided in a closed complex of connected buildings.
Patients without a guardian are put up in 2-4 bedded rooms with common sanitary.
