From forest sanatorium to children’s care

The beginnings of the grounds are connected with a tradition of forest-sanatorium and convalescent care in the natural setting of Zlaté Hory.

During the twentieth century, care here increasingly focused on children with respiratory difficulties and developed into today’s Sanatorium EDEL.

The historic architecture and wooded location still reflect the grounds’ original therapeutic purpose.

The historic building remains part of the identity, while today’s care for children is the main focus.
