The clinical team decides whether speleotherapy is suitable and what restrictions apply for an individual child.

The underground environment

The programme takes place in adapted areas of a former mine near the sanatorium, where the stable microclimate is used for speleotherapy.

The underground area is an organised clinical environment with spaces for activity, rest, snacks and hygiene.

One part of comprehensive care

The programme alternates appropriate activity and rest. Frequency, duration and suitability are determined by the clinical team.

Speleotherapy does not replace prescribed treatment, and its benefit cannot be guaranteed in advance for an individual child.
